In the end, I think this would have been stronger had it been cut down to several important scenes and included at the end of Kilgannon.

The characters in this book are great It was just ok. Yes, it’s one thing to be strong, but it’s another not to heed advice of those who may know better. We had various men making propositions of the married Mary. But there is not a third book, and sadly the author passed away, so that will have to be the end of the Kilgannon saga.

A lot happens in this book as its story starts half way through the saga. Now Mary and Alex’s love story continues. The characters are strong and their passions high. Will Mary be able to rescue him before it’s too late? I really like the supporting characters, especially Matthew. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I didn’t enjoy this book as much as On a Highland Shore.

I would love to find another one of those. Overall great, well written story and I recommend just read the books back to back. This one starts where Kilgannon left off and moves through the following years of fear and war in Scotland.

The series left her readers thirsting for more stories of the glittering streets of London and the misty Scottish Highlands. The conclusion of the story begun in Kilgannon. Firstly let me say it was worth kilgannkn investment both in time and money. Another good story by Kathleen Givens. And while it’s not entirely a cliff hanger ending, she dde you with enough questions to allow for a third follow on novel, so I’m hopeful.

What better backdrop for a love story? This second book, the sequel to Kilgannon, was much better than the first. I had picked this book because it was on a list of best highlander romanced along with The Pride of Lions by Canham.
